The American Literacy Institute is launching a K-5 private school in Bastrop, Texas, dedicated to providing students with dyslexia a world-class education. Our model is built on evidence-based, multisensory dyslexia instruction, a rigorous academic curriculum, and a character-building, faith-friendly environment.
The Challenge
Dyslexia affects 15-20% of the population. In Texas alone, over 300,000 students are identified with dyslexia, yet the quality and availability of effective intervention vary dramatically across school districts.
